Mine is Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz from phineas and ferb.  I even find myself talking like him sometimes.

  • I have two, a Welsh one and an English one. In my head they're both bland and neutral, but out loud they both sound like a slightly more animated Gruff Rhys.

Sometimes it’s the Cadbury’s bunny, sometimes Prof Sprout.  Depends on the reading material.

Usually it's my own voice, except when I'm reading certain things in which a character has an accent, eg. when reading "Treasure Island" I could only do it in a silly pirate voice, Arrr!

I honestly don't "hear" any voice in my head when I'm reading. Don't know why, but it might be because I learned to speed-read at a very young age, and it's not actually possible to speak as fast as I read.
I took a speed-reading course and read War and Peace in twenty minutes. It involves Russia.

    Voice? Voices, more like.

Reading something by a well-known person with a distinctive accent/cadence I'll read it more or less in their voice. Similarly reading characters that you know have a particular ethnicity or regional accent I'll (usually) read those in stereotypical versions of those accents.

Reading stuff where there's no real clue as to the character's background (nationality, ethnicity, class, etc.) I'll generally read it in a voice that "seems to fit" which will often be a close deviation from my own. Not my actual speaking voice, but my thinking voice, which is considerably less boring and sleep-inducing than my spoken voice.
