There was a rumour circulating earlier in the week that seems to have just been a rumour but this is on lot of news outlets so I guess it’s true. Sad, but true.

What a cool bloke he was - look at pictures from any stage of his career and he always looks totally cool, even with a straggly ponytail and a headband.

He could even make Minarik guitars look cool...

Dick Dale taught Leo Fender how to make amps reliable - Fender used him as a road-tester, because he was so hard on them.
