stacked heel les paul prs neck

Has anyone made a neck with a stacked heel on a les paul or prs style guitar?
I have some lovely maple and want to make it go a bit further .
If I stack the heel I can get 4 necks instead of 2 out of the blanks I have

So long as its strong / stable enough Id go for it. I have enough of the wood to make the stacked heel out of the same wood with same grain direction,
I would have thought  stacking , ie laminating would be no weaker.

well acoustic necks have stacked heels amd i made one out of flame maple

I would use one personally, in fact that's what i have in mind for a set neck jazzmaster, it needs a stacked heel for my joint

With a clean joint and a good modern glue it will be just as strong as a single piece of wood, probably slightly stronger.

    Titebond Original is perfect.
