Small midi keyboard recommendation?

Hi all,

I'm on the look out for a small midi keyboard to connect to my Alesis SR18 drum machine to make it easier to use the bass mode on it, is there anything you good folks could recommend that will be compatible with the SR18 please? Many thanks in advance.

I'd imagine the hat any keyboard that has midi out is what you want, assuming you can configure the bass mode to respond to a specific midi channel in the SR18.

M Audio, Arturia, Akai, Alesis, Novation and Native Instruments all do decent keyboards.

THIS should do the job.

If you've not ordered anything yet, depending on key size, you could always look at the Akai MPK mini for sale in the classifieds (here: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/155203/apogee-duet-2-akai-mpk-mini)

Edit: Although check compatibility first, looks like it's midi over USB, so you'd likely need to go through a hub and/or computer first. Whichever you go for worth checking to see if other people have set up with the same keys and how they've done so.

Thank you for the link but I went with the Alesis Q25 in the end, nice and simple which is just what I need.
