Christ, that was a close call! It's truly frightening sometimes when the most routine of things turn in to utter nightmares.
Thank goodness the private hospital were quick enough to get her transferred to A&E in time.
I'm just so happy to hear she's on the mend, but that must have wrecked you.
Keep strong and best wishes to both of you for a quick recovery.

That sounds very serious and scary. Best wishes to both of you...

The NHS may have huge problems, but if the worst happens you're in better hands there than anywhere else.

Glad shes OK.  Private hospitals are just not as safe if anything goes wrong.  Trusty old NHS delivers quality every time

Thanks for all your kind wishes....it was NHS but done in a small private hospital where the consultant usually works from.....but they had no provision for emergency work....

Flip, that's the kind of excitement you can do without.

Glad it sounds like despite desperate measures it's going to have a positive outcome. Best wishes to you and her as she recovers.

That's terrible, and it sounds like somebody at the private hospital may have messed up. Thankfully the NHS were able to step in and save the day. I hope your wife is comfortable and doing well.

On a side note, it may be an idea to get some legal advice when you have the full details about what caused such a rapid deterioration during a minor procedure.

It was done by the NHS just not in the main NHS Hospital...The internal bleeding was caused by removal of a larger than expected fibroid which damaged the lining... thankfully not by being butchered....

Which does make you question whether it's wise to attempt that sort of procedure in a hospital which can't cope with something going wrong. Unfortunately that's the way public healthcare seems to have been driven now, largely for ideological reasons.
