@stuartryanmusic - exceptional player, theory unquestioned. I'm really keen myself to get some time with him, but contact him and see if he has space to teach at the moment.

Ah yes I've had a lesson with him before. A little too much that I am happy to pay unfortunately  I don't care so much about the playing but how good they are at conveying what I need to know

Feels like poor form but I guess I'll toot my own horn here. I teach in Bristol. PG Cert in Music further and higher education, taught guitar at all levels for 15 years, former BIMM tutor, former techniques contributor to Guitar Techniques and Total Guitar magazines. Be very happy to talk and see if I'm what you're looking for. I don't know what Stuart charges these days but I suspect it's more than me!

I think I’ve had lessons off both of them in the past. Completely forgot about them :(

I know a chap called Ed Baker who lives in Bath - he regularly travels for lessons to Bristol and SE Wales. He also does guitar tech stuff for a shop near me. Really good guy but can't comment on his teaching as I've never been one for being taught. https://edbaker.co.uk/

I saw Zac Ware playing electric guitar for The Proclaimers about 5 years ago. Awesome technique and taste. The web says that he lives in Bath and teaches guitar: https://schoolofeverything.com/teacher/zacware

...and maybe you can get your Morris Minor restored whilst you're there

I just wanna give a shout out to @viz who has been helping me with some theory lessons via Skype. He's a great teacher and really feel I'm making some good ground. The theory book he has written is brilliant too. Recommended.

Cant wait for my next session with him :)

Hi guys, all great suggestions there and you can't go wrong with Johnny or Jason! I don't do much one to one stuff these days but if you are into fingerstyle I have a new website where I go over everything in detail, just google Fingerstyle Focus as I can't post a link here

Oh thanks dude! - it’s all down to the attitude of the student!
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

you probably aren't a "trusted" poster or something :)    BTW thanks for the Celtic Guitar stuff in GT - I've added one of them to my slowly growing setlist, and will embark on another soon.  I do "need" another guitar to leave in DAGDAG which is also a bonus :)
