Warcraft: The Beginning. Not as bad as 50 Shades of Black.  I did fall asleep during it as it was quite boring.  It was also too long.It may not help that I do not know the source material.3/10
That's got the guy who plays Ragnar in The Vikings hasn't it? Think he may be slightly typecasting himself into Epic Hero roles.
@boogieman, I haven't seen Vikings yet, so it I had to IMDB it, and you're right.  I thought I was on to a winner too because it has Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga who are both in Preacher, a series I am really enjoying.

A mate, who is a big Warcraft geek, was raving about the film and explaining how the W:TB is a setup for six or seven more Warcraft films. As I said , I am not familiar with the source material which is probably why the film was lost on me.

Before I Go To Sleep. I had low expectations but it was pretty good, old fashioned thriller I guess. Set around Greenwich,I've never been there in my life but there might be a few landmarks to spot if you know the area.

Ghost In The Shell on DVD, in preparation for working through the first box set of the TV series - I liked it but it felt a little thin on plot, more like a TV episode than a film.

    Sound Of My Voice

I can't really describe this without giving big chunks of it away, but it was quite good. Described on wikipedia as a psychological thriller, so let's go with that. Indie type thing. Time travel-ish plot, but not in the BTTF or Terminator way.

Feel-wise it's more like Coherence or Another Earth (same girl in it as that, I think). Worth watching if you like that sort of thing.

    The Raven.

It bears little resemblance to Edgar Allan Poe's book but is chock full of Poe stories/references and John Cusack does a decent job as the author.

I'd expected it to be a "comfort food" type of film but it was pretty good and worth a punt :)

    7/10

It would have been better (and shorter) if the bear had finished the job properly.

Just watched a film called Spring on Netflix.

If you enjoy Sci-Fi with a bit of Horror wrapped around a love story of sorts you should check it out.

    The Secret Life Of Pets

Kids birthday treat, 8 year old liked it, 13 year old didn't mind it, wife loved it (she's Thai, enough said).
Animals exploits when blah, blah, blah. Buddy movie similar to Toy Story but nowhere near as engaging for adults. Looks great but it's a bloody noisy film, gives Michael Bay a run for his money in the loudness stakes.
    Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.....

Don't bother, this is as bad as it gets. Budget horror. Switched off after about half an hour.
