8 pin mini din to usb - cheaper option.

Any ideas on where I can source / make up a cheap a  8 pin din to usb c lead .

Don't really want to spend £19+ postage on this one. Found a similar data cable but not too sure if it will work.

Thanks

Given that both of those connectors are absolute hell-bastards to hand solder (never tried a USB-C, but the 8-pin mini DINs are the devil's own creation), I'd say spend the money on the one that works and has a guarantee.

I once made my own SCART cable up with all pins connected.  Never again.  Never, ever again.

Good call. Many years ago I did some on site work involving soldering mini-DINs up a stepladder.

After the first couple I bought premade adaptors to DE9 out of my own pocket and it was worth it.
