I built my own BB preamp clone a few years ago and to this day I've yet to find an overdrive pedal that I prefer to it, and lord knows I've been through many pedals. I built mine using the instructions on the tagboardeffects blog:
https://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2012/10/xotic-bb-preamp.htmlAnyway, whilst looking back on information about this classic pedal I found the following article that details the circuits used in the different versions of the pedals that were released, including the Andy Timmons model.
Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of this classic preamp.

Any BB fans on here?

Yes, iirc 9 o'clock on the mid control is the default mid setting on the regular pedal, so you have some 'cut' from there as well as (more) boost.
