SOLD! FS - £610! - Bad Cat Hot Cat 30 Combo Samson Era - HUGE PRICE DROP!

edited February 2015 in Amps £
Moving on my BadCat Hot Cat 30 combo. I haven't owned it for very long but fear it's being completely underused. I believe it's one of the older models but haven't really been able to muster a lot of information on it. All I know is that it sounds absolutely beautiful and takes pedals amazingly. There's a few little scuffs on the tolex, but I have just replaced the handle and top corners. Comes with an A/B switch for individual channel switching and a small step-down transformer for UK voltage. Serial number is 2381. Has a Bad Cat branded Vintage 30 speaker. There is a little hum on the gain channel when everything is cranked to 10 but no more than other high gain amps I've owned. Has a slightly crackly volume pot between 0 and about 0.5 but affects nothing. Price more than reflects these minor niggles. Will take more pictures upon request. Looking for around £610 because I'm clearly insane and need the money. I'm losing a lot on this amp but it's taking up room which is needed for furniture so has to go. Based in South East Kent, Broadstairs, but am happy to arrange a courier at buyer's expense, probably around £40 fully insured.

It's not shifted yet, may be after an American/Japanese strat if I like it enough? G and L? Suhr? WHY? Maybe cash either way?

I'm certain this will be one of the earlier (Mark Samson designed) hot cat models (although a picture of the back would clear it up 100%).  It looks exactly like the Hot Cat 30 head I used to have (which was an old one).  This is a bargain price for a fantastic amp chaps! GLWS

I'll upload a picture of the back tonight, but I was told when purchasing this was an earlier model (:

Yes, this looks like the first (some would say better) Samson-era lay out of the Hot Cat...some awesome amps for sale on the board currently, have a bump! :-)

N.B. if you open it up, chances are there will be some Matchless branded caps inside, my 2002 Black Cat is full of them, Mark Samson must have stuffed a load in his pockets before he left Matchless and they went bump ;-)

Does this have a din socket for a Bad Cat footswitch? It would be either on the rear panel or somewhere on the chassis.

It has individual inputs for each channel and comes with an A/B footswitch

IIRC, some of them can still channel switch even though they have separate inputs. Yours must very early. :)
