Including his one for completeness only - it's so difficult to play in open position, in practice I think I'd always play a closed-position version.
Formula is 1 b3 5 7, so in F# we have the notes F# A C# E#, which is xx4221. The open string available to help us form our open-position F#mmaj7 chord is the 1st string A, which needs a thumb-over-the-fretboard approach and careful placement of the little finger to avoid accidentally muting -
F#mmaj7 - 203221 (thumb on 6th string)
or
F#mmaj7 - 204221 (thumb on 6th string)
And that's it! Can't think of any useable variations which use that open A-string. . .
