Hotone are pretty good, I've got the 'Wally' it's a great looper, with good functionality.

As said above, it depends on the effect - I've got a Mooer Elec Lady which is great but had a Mooer Pure Octave which was awful.

The Xotic mini's are brilliant - I've got the SP Comp and SL Drive and absolutely love 'em.  I've also got a TC HOF and TC Spark mini, both of which are great.

Exactly what @Beexter said. I am very happy with my Xotic experiences, especially the SL Drive and SP Comp. The small TCs are also good, although a little limited in functionality.

Xotic are awesome but I picked up a couple of Movall pedals recently. Not come across them before but they are cheaper than the Mooers, build quality is head and shoulders above and they sound fantastic. This is one of the ones I got.

    Start with..

    Tuner - TC electronic
Fuzz - JHS Mini foot fuzz
Compressor and boost - Xotic effects

    malekko and xotic for me
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I like the mooers I have tried - but understand that some are not so great.. the tone city stuff looks good. Seems like lots of mainstream companies are now juming on the bandwagon (Fender, Ibanezetc).

They also make great back up pedals - that's what I use my Ana and Green mile for, just sitting in my gig bag in case the big pedals break :)
