I need to sort a birthday present for my brother in law by buying something off amazon before I go to bed tonight!
He likes classic/ prog/ blues rock - Deep Purple, ELP, Joe Bonamassa kind of things. No point in buying back catalogue stuff as he will probably have it but he doesn't normally buy cd's for himself so anything recently released will be fine.
I've over £10 but no more than £20 to spend.
Any ideas?

Ooh, Rival Sons Great Western Thingy, £8.99 and I get the auto rip ( I have some of the songs but not all). Excellent.
The Stone Electric is £18 for the cd on Amazon so I need something cheaper to pair up with Rival Sons.

For prog rock you could go for Steve Wilson's "The Raven That Refused To Sing' 
Listen to 'Drive Home' off the album... it's amazing  and Guthrie's on terrific form.

liking that ( well, not my cuppa but I suspect he will like it) but 14 days to arrive! So that's out.

How about the newer Steve Wilson -  Hand.Cannot.Erase.  Looks to be in stock at Amazon - and he might like the double disc with 5.1 mixes.

right, that and Rival Sons ordered. Everything else was stuff I liked and just wanted the auto rip but I think the Steve Wilson one might be up his street. I can go to bed now! :-h
