Warning: Ropey vocal ideas and ultra over-use of fuzz alert.
Thinking about it you could reverse the action so that the toe down position was your minimum delay mix and the heel down was your max
that way when you push forward and engage the switch you'll also set your delay to minimum
all you have to deal with then is a lifetime of conditioning that pedal down means more
surely you don't have the expression pedal fading it to 0?
I know what you mean though , I ended up just putting one of the wee line 6 expression Pedals on the board and using that for modifiers
the only other thing you can do is assign the toe switch to a button and toggle the wah on and off that way
Yessir!
So is this one:

Pitch whammy in front of a filter and a fuzz, then into the amp, with some delay and reverb. It sounds faiiiirrly close to the actual track.
4 cable method to the Lonestar, 1 preset with 4 snapshots a few things on instant access. Split the signal before it returned to the amp to send a stereo feed using a cab simulation to the FOH with ping pong delay but using the simple delay for my amp. Last night was the clincher as I could go out front and hear my amp as well as the direct signal. The difference was zero. The FOH was exactly the same tone as from the amp. Couldn't believe it. Gonna do a couple more gigs with it before I make the leap but I'm loving it.

cant get my head around running 4cm and FOH in one preset!!

Ignoring all the other blocks in the chain, the key bit is where you see the first effects loop block. Thats the 4cm method bit. You'll see next in line is a volume pedal. Then it's split into 2 paths. One adds a delay for my amp and output set to jack out. The other path has the cab simulation (Silver Bell), the delay and an eq just for volume boost which I match with the Lonestar and goes out through the XLR's in stereo. Works a treat.

Riffs are a bit generic, but just tone chasing really.
Great work, Line 6
