Ive come to the piano late in life (too late???) having played guitar and harmonica for 12 years, and fancy learning just a simple Boogie woogie. Fuck me! who knew that the hand independence would be so hard.
Any players on here?
Advice?

Well I would suggest not attempting boogie woogie if you're a beginner :)

It's all about sub dividing time, that's what helps me, otherwise one hand wants to do exactly the same note timing as the other, so try tapping 4 notes per bar with one hand and 8 with the other at the same time

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that...I can't play the piano, well I wouldn't dare play it in front of other people, but I do know that boogie woogie can be demanding, that's all :)

I have played piano for 45 years and I still find boogie difficult - its almost a discipline in its own right
