I read the Harry Potter books to the kids and Rowling overuses the word "shrilly". There's just something about the way it sounds that makes my skin crawl.

It annoys me so much that I find it hard to even read threads containing it. Axe for guitar would be another one but thankfully is rarely used here.

I've just finished working for a company that did a 'lot' of 'webinars'.

While unemployment has its down-sides, webinar-avoidance is not one of them....

'Skedule' instead of 'shedule'. I know it's a pronunciation rather than an actual word, but this is real fingernails-down-the-blackboard stuff for me.

'Literally' instead of 'figuratively' as in 'People are literally dying to meet you'. Let's hope not eh?
