Chord of the week 19/3/16 - the Em9 keyboard intro to Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi

bigjonbigjon Frets: 680
I'm in the house band for a charity Bandaoke evening in two weeks' time, and I've got 60 songs to learn! One of the chords that caught my ear is a dense Em9 which fades in on the keyboard at the beginning of Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi.
The top note is an F# xxxxx2, then moving down the voicing I can hear E xxxxx0, B xxxx0x, G xxx0xx, D xx0xxx, and E 0xxxxx. There are clearly a lot of open strings available to help playing this chord! One approach would be to just displace the top F# note onto the unused 5th string, but at the 21st fret that's a bit impractical!
Em9: 0 21 0 0 0 0.

So my preferred approach is to move the F# onto the 3rd string only, at the 11th fret, then move the G which was on the open third string to the 10th fret of the vacant 5th string, which gives -

Em9: 0 10 0 11 0 0

The chord is at 0:10 in this video. I may subtly fade it in with the volume pedal behind the keyboard player when we play it at the Bandaoke gig :-)
