Thinking of parting with my 1988  standard 24, It has a Brazillian board and amazing flame maple neck, The body is alder and has ALOT of wear, i would say in relic condition !!! Neck is straight and plays amazing , i will upload some pics later tonight but heres a video of my playing it!

Looking to trade for a high end guitar maybe a suhr??? or a cash sale but im not sure what this is worth!
cheers

    It's not an 1987 ce24, they weren't introduced until 1988.

Try this, otherwise, email PRS as I couldn't identify my EGII from the website and they got back to me next day with the details and that'll be useful for you if you need to try and value it.

With the prefix being 8, it looks like it's 88 which ties in with what bignorm said about when they were first introduced.

Gorgeous guitar, and a PRS from the glory years.  From the description it'll be a Classic Electric / CE model (alder body, bolt on maple neck).  Standards were set neck all mahogany.

Definitely an 88 though, and the 50th CE made during the first year of production according to the serial number database.

Fine guitar - good luck with the sale.

That's something that I've never been able to find out. It might be worth emailing prs customer services. It's definately a Classic 24. More images would help to identify it for sure and it'll be an alder body not mahogany. The pick ups could be either Hfs or chainsaw in the bridge and VB in the neck. It should also have a 3 way metal toggle switch too
