Oil City Telecaster Tapped Bridge Pickup – Honky Tonk Angel early model

This is one from Ash Locker at Oil City Pickups – a one off special I requested some years ago for a special tele I have since replaced but kept the pickup but haven’t found a use for it so am offering it out. 

I bought this on ebay and never fitted it.  I am told that this was made before Ash started offering the Honky Tonk Angel without the tap.

Only been in one guitar for about 2 years, bedroom use only, and it is in  good condition.

Specs:

Alnico II – for sustain and smooth top end

AWG 43 wire for a mids push

10k DC to give some rocking overdrive and to push your amp/pedal

6k tap to wind it back a bit for some crystal clear and bright top end cleans, bakersfield country style

Lightly wax potted

4 wire, normal ground, 10k live, 6k live, and separate plate ground for series of phase wiring options
