Charvel Star Re-Issue!

Scored this on eBay a couple of weeks ago and after a fret-dress and reset by Ethos Guitars, I'm pleased to say that I'm VERY happy with my purchase!

Unfortunately the lacquer was peeling off the headstock but it's controlled now and shouldn't get any worse. I'm not too bothered however, it still rocks :)

    None more pointy!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Nice how is the neck compared to say a pro mod and how's it play?  All the original reissues have peeling headstocks, every one, makes it original.  I have a reissue body, but the bloke swapped out the neck for a pro mod one.  Heavy and load of paint.  Good quality though eh.

About as perfect as you are gonna get right there?  Wish I could justify the price tag.

  • Perfect for your next jazz gig!
Although this isn't my bag at all, I rather like that, especially the colour.

Looks great! I even considered getting this myself when I saw it up for sale. Looks better than I thought it would

It's been years since I tried the Pro Mods, one had really sharp fret ends and I weren't really blown away. It's hard for me to compare in detail though as it's been years!

I didn't know they all had peeling headstocks, I feel better about it now :)

The price tag was incredibly low I thought. Those Pro Mods seem to be selling for more...

Thanks dude! I used a Canon 5Dc with the 50mm 1.8 lens and natural lighting. It's been a while but it was fun to get some guitar snaps in!

Ah, I had the same reservations about the seller but I decided to try and bag the bargain!

Thanks, I'm very happy with it! I might even perm my hair in celebration!
