Chord Of The Week 25/6/16 - Church Chords - an Abmaj9(no3rd) in the key of Eb

This is another chord in the key of Eb which makes use of the open 3rd string providing a drone on the note of G. That becomes the maj7 of this Eb chord. For the song I was playing, I was also using a Bb at the 6th fret on the top string as a drone note, this becomes the maj9 of the Ab chord. The only other notes in the chord are Ab root and Eb fifth, there is no C third anywhere in the chord so the chord as a whole is

Abmaj9(no3rd): 4x6046

Next week on to more unusual chords I came up with but in the key of Ab this time.
