    Oh, this isn't greatest hits.
    Not sure about that.
Even on their album tours, they don't play *that* many album tracks and play plenty of crowd pleasers.

  • Booked my ticket for the extra show at the O2 on the 28th. I'll be standing for the first time at a Maiden gig. If anyone else here is going then it would be nice to meet up, say hello and have pint.

Drummer just got me a ticket for Brum. Last time I tried to see them I was 14 and my mum stopped me- not on a school night. Only taken 35 years to get round to seeing them!

This'll be my first time as well.

I did get close by being one of the winners of a competition on the Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show to a playback of the 'Fear of the Dark' album. We got to meet Bruce, Steve and Dave (maybe Janick was there as well, can't quite recall) a goodie bag and membership to the FC (my parents had to take me as it was in Norwich for some reason)...but I've never actually seen them live.

    Yep
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Only ever seen them once, on the seventh son tour, quite like to see them again.

  • The prices are a lot more reasonable than the other two I'm seeing. I'm just not a fan of their new stuff.

A mate of mine was, I should see him later and get his thunks on the gig.

BTW, Birmigham will be my 4th time seeing them. Can not wait.

I heard that a lot of classics were missing from the set in Nottingham

It's the same set each night, plenty from the new album not a pure nostalgic set.

Good. This is an album tour of a band that still makes new music. It's what I want from a creative band.

For those that don't like it, they do alternate with greatest hits tours.

Saw them in Birmingham last night - band were great, audience was lifeless, I thought?

Maybe because it was a Sunday, I dunno? The last time I saw them at the O2 on a Saturday, the place was absolutely jumping from the moment UFO's Doctor Doctor started...

We were in the seats, very near the front, decent view but the stage set slightly obscured Dave's position when he was stood back a bit.

I always find the atmosphere a bit lacking in the seats in big places, but there were certainly pockets of people really going for it, and from where we were looking down into the pit they were certainly enjoying themselves down there!
