I'm hoping for face value using paypal fees free transfer ...

paid in £ so some exchange rate calculation would be needed at the time of sale

Maybe I'm missing something, but face value + PP fees on top will cost the buyer more thank spending €150 ??

Fees free ... won't cost anything ... at least that is what I was trying to put across ... have I mis-labelled the payment method?  I do not intend any one to incur fees.

And any euro to pound exchange would be in the buyers favour.

I'm just thinking that someone may be already lining up a T - omann purchase and this could work for them.

Is it wrong / poor form to ask for face value?

I know a lot of folk re-sell guitars etc and say, "I only want back what I paid for it".

The only person this would benefit is you mate! If I was trying to offload a store voucher I'd be knocking a bit off the price - £200 tesco voucher for £150 cash. Something along those lines.

I was looking into getting an AMT pedal, but it's less than 150 EUR.

Would be interested if it involved me spending less than the price of just buying it direct.

I appreciate your opinion ... like I said, the exchange rate on sale would definitely go in the buyer's favour.

If anyone made an offer I would think on it, maybe negotiate a little.

If we did the conversion at today's rates for the voucher, surely it's be the same as giving Thomanns 150€ barre possibly a few cents.

Sorry to be seeming to give you a hard time, but you presumably want to sell it, so you probably want to discount it.

It's a risk because automatically your first thought is how do I know the voucher will work? If it's a code that you put in at the shopping basket I'd be paranoid I was going to be told it had already been used, and id never hear from the seller again.
No one is going to want to take that risk unless it's heavily discounted, because though I'm sure you're genuine its just not worth it when you could instead buy directly for the same price.

  • Id say you want to be offering it for about £100 or £115 max in my opinion.

  • So, forgive the confusion, is this a voucher or Thomanns vouchers for reviews ?

a voucher, not a gratis one, but one that cost money to buy

  • You're flogging a dead horse here judging by the comments above. If it were me, I'd just spend it or save it until there's something I really wanted. You're not going to get anywhere near its paper value unfortunately.
