  • Nice 5 miles today, first run since Saturday. I run much better when I've barely slept, I'm more relaxed.

No running for me today nor tomorrow.
I've been washing the bikes, sorting the garden and packing for my month in Australia.
Next run I will be doing will be on heather side of the world in 30 degree heat.
    Bring it on!
Tell me you mean heathen. :-)

Couldn't be arsed last night, but went out in the rain this morning 2k to test my calf. Seemed fine today

  • 8.02km.  That 20 metres is important!!

I'm getting faster and being able to run further which is very good.

Now I've got to foam roller the hell out of my legs.

    160km  + 5km = 165km

All's not well though. I'm ready to stop after 5km this week. I suspect I need a few more calories during the day.

A fair pace 4.15 miles for me today on the treadmill.  Tied my shoe laces too tight on Sunday for my long run and my foot has been killing me ever since.  Very pleased I managed 30 minutes running.  Planning on 5miles tomorrow.

Did 3k before work and another 3.65 after work

    Total now 63km.

For some reason my right arse cheek starts aching like hell at just over 3km and gets painful at about 5k - not that I ever run more than 5k

hmmmm, I'm no expert, but I have had a few injuries, but just wondering if the last few km are up hill?

It could be hip/pelvis related. I have a bit of a chronic niggle in that area, which seems to be OK-ish so far.

Not really, slight incline that only lasts about 50 metres.

I did a pretty flat route

I had some problems that sound similar.  Stretching the piriformis muscle helped as did resting.

25km so far this week and 243km for the year.  I think I`ll take couple of days off and run again at the weekend so I should end up about 40km by Sunday.
I always run much better after a rest period.  I like to get under 25 at the Parkrun on Saturday.  That would be less than 2 mins off my best.  We'll see.  I'll probably feel like death and run really slowly!
