What's Hot
MojopickupsMojopickups Frets: 314

I'll be adding these to the website soon, custom made in the UK covers.
These are a true Gold Foils but dual bobbin for humbucking, they'll also be available splittable so that you can switch to a single coil.
They are quite big 90x54x9mm.....they need to be to get both coils inside
I'll be making some minor tweaks byt will be ready very soon.

Any chance of a pic next  to the more usual suspects.  How does it compare in size to a wide range for instance?

  • @Mojopickups ;

Are pole pieces under the cover or a rail/blade type underneath set for a particular string spacing?

They use blade shaped magnetic rubber stuff

Cheers.  I must admit that has me very tempted.    I have a tele with a swimming pool route that it would fit into easy enough...

@WezV here they are in a Jazzmaster to give you an idea of size, they fit in a standard Jazzmaster route.

that does look awesome.   I have been going back and forth on the tele.  I want an unusual neck pickup for it...

just slightly worried because a wide range manages to look even larger when put on a normal  tele plate - like this

time for a  photoshop mockup I think

@WezV I'm going to have to build a Tele now!

Do you do anything unusual looking in a tele bridge pickup format?

I am thinking purely aesthetically here as I am rather happy with the bridge pickup it already has (an older model BKP flat 50), but can't help thinking there would be something that looks a bit better.  I suppose gold foil tele bridge pickup would look OTT even if it was possible... but blade or stapletop (staples angled to follow the strings.. not much room for a coil??)  could look immense if it worked.

Tonally, do you know how do these play with other pickups yet?   I don't mind a tonal mismatch, often I prefer it to a paired set, but I like to keep volume balance in the right ballpark if possible.

I need a couple of mustang pickups too and should be in a position to order by the end of the week

For something of a smaller footprint, I can't recommend enough the Speedbump Marc made me I have in the neck of my guitar.  HB sized but is a bit GF coloured for tone.

I'm thinking of going for the GF HB in the bridge, Hershey Bar in the neck for my Trohman Tele (when the funds allow!)
