Just
finished building this, it's basically a Ricky 4001 shape body and headstock,
but the neck is a Jazz bass shape. Body is made from Alder, the neck is a
three-piece of quarter sawn Maple. The neck is slightly narrower then a Jazz bass
neck at the 22nd to allow for the string spacing of the Ricky bridge. The
pickups are Seymour Duncan quarter pounders Jazz at the bridge with a P-Bass at
the neck, it's loaded with East Electronics active circuitry, given the bass
active pan, cut and boost bass and treble, with mid control with sweep. There
is also a passive tone control that is activated with a push pull switch. The
fingerboard is ebony with mother-of-pearl triangular inlays. The neck and body
have cream binding to match the scratch plate. Is not genuine Ricky bridge, is
actually a Hipshot, far better, it's made from solid brass and it's very heavy,
the bridge is also available made from aluminium. The tuners are Schaller BM's
with a Hipshot Bass Extender (detuner ) on the E string.
Your life will improve when you realise it’s better to be alone than chase people who do not really care about you. Saying YES to happiness means learning to say NO to things and people that stress you out.
