  • Any one watch that youtube show - 'whats in my bag'? When pop/rap/metal and indie bands go round Ameoba records in Los Angels shopping for vinyl?

Nice to see the Spangle Maker EP getting some love, @Bridgehouse .
The last vinyl LP I bought was Until In Excess, Imperceiptible UFO by Besnard Lakes.

My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

No pics but I got sent Little Fictions by Elbow... I'll admit to rather liking The Seldom Seen Kid but the stuff since has left me a bit cold. This latest album (one listen so far) continues that progression... apart from the first track which also happens to be the new single, its fairly forgettable. Not impressed.

I also 'replaced' a copy of "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in space" by Spiritualised - I know I bought it when it first came out, but I couldn't find my copy when looking for it the other day. God knows what happened to it... I'd forgotten how chuffing brilliant it is though... no doubt my original copy will turn up looking for something else.

Got this from their merch stand at their Norwich gig.  The Blue Aeroplanes, by some quirk of music-buying history, are one of my few remaining "vinyl only" bands...

New fangled trading feedback link right here!

Decent. But they never topped 'Pleasure To Kill' imho.
The latest album is good but Nuclear Blast insist on releasing EVERYTHING as a double LP, even when they don't need to.   As such, I refuse to part with my dosh....

    Good stuff
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

I'd lost interest by this point. I've had promo CDs of a few more recent albums but not really bothered beyond a cursory listen.

No doubt that Pleasure to Kill is their best, this one holds a special place in my heart though. Double LP's can be a pain in the arse - even worse when theyre marketed as 'audiophile' qulaity, but sound noticeably inferior to the original 1x33rpm release - interested to see if the upcoming Nuclear Blast Voivod reissues buck this trend

@starwarsnosebleed you're only saying that because you lowballed me on that Rolf Harris box set.

I'm lucky enough to have a great vinyl shop in town and it's only 2 minutes walk from work. I try hard not to go more than twice a week though.

Yesterdays purchase was a fabulous condition copy of "Weather Report - Black Market" from 1976. Jaco's first appearance with the band, it's awesome. Only £5.00 too ! Bargain!
