This is Sealand!

------------------------------------

The Principality of Sealand needs your help! They need a  better national anthem lets help them by writing a few ideas!

Unofficial lyrics here
----------------

Oh Sealand, Sealand, home of the damp
Two concrete pillars topped by a lamp
That shines o'er the waves in storm and in calm
Protecting our glorious concrete from harm

We stand before God, independent and free
Our Nation alone sitting in the North Sea
Our people so proud, our armies so mighty
Seven point fives miles away from old Blighty

(chorus)
Sealand oh SEA-land, oh land on the sea
In Sealand we see land that sees us at sea
The seals and the sea and the Sealanders see
That Sealand, my Sealand will always be free.
------------

No Limits of any kind!

Deadline

Midnight (UK time) 15th May 2017.

No prize this time other than this lovely picture to look at :-)

It crossed my mind to do a Hendrix style (Star Spangled Banner) take on the existing anthem.
    It's not a competition.

Oh shush...  I'm far too calm and shy to be a head of state <blushes>.

    I'll write some lyrics though...

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

@Emp_Fab - dude, you have outdone yourself there. I am genuinely impressed.

I have a hankering to do a sort of djentstep meets Cardiacs affair.

My immediate thought is to do something with subsonic pitches audible only to whales.

I wrote that in the bath just now in two minutes.  Rather apt place.

Thanks for the compliments :-)  I've always found lyrics really easy to write - it's music that screws me.  Whatever I write, I always always fall into a clichéd pattern.  I could have been the next Bernie Winters - I just never found my Elton John.

PS, There's a great little book about all this "Principality of Sealand" which, I dunno, something really appeals to me about it.  I used to listen to Radio Caroline in my teens and other than John Peel it was the only place you'd get decent music.  It seems incomprehensible now.  But listening to stoned DJs playing Iron Butterfly and The White Noise from the middle of the North Sea was, and still is, somehow cool.

Amazing that you can come up with those lyrics so quickly.

It gives me a dilemma because I can't sing. I think maybe I'll need a bit of help from http://www.plogue.com/products/alterego/

It gives me a dilemma because I can't sing....

My take on it is that a composition doesn't necessarily need to have singing on it.
You could just do the music and let the listener do the singing!

    Still struggling with this one.

I'm using Kontakt and I've got a bad feeling that I might get hit with issues relating to the W10 creators update sometime soon.
    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/kontakt-w10-creators-edition.315469/#post-1568287

That last big W10 update knobbled Addictive Drums, until I eventually found a fix.
