Here for sale is a very nice, and rare, Epiphone Les Paul Special made only for the Japanese market.

Absolutely top quality, lightweight and with quite a chunky neck.

Very resonant. Nothing like a standard Epiphone, and better than a lot of Gibsons I've played in recent years!

Open book headstock which is exclusive to the Japanese models.

A few small marks on the body and headstock, and a slightly faded area just below the bridge.

To import one from eBay secondhand would cost you north of £500. I bought this for £350 and simply want my money back. 

Manufactured in the Fugi Jen factory where numerous high end Japanese guitars started life!

I don't have a case for it, but it's easy enough to pick up a gigbag inexpensively.

I think it's an LQ series judging by the logo on the headstock, so lacquer rather than poly. Can you confirm?

I'm afraid I don't know any more myself. It's a cracking guitar, though.

My old axe this one. Cost me over 500 to import from Japan a couple of years ago. This is a Lacquer series. Light, resonant and a lovely neck profile. This is a great guitar at a great price.
