I recently stumbled on the Rick Beato videos on Youtube.

I don't seem to be able to post a link, but just search for Rick Beato on Youtube. Then click on "Videos" from his Home page.

I was originally looking for orchestration tuition to help me with the current Composition challenge on theFretboard, but there's loads of other excellent stuff.
It's not a competition.

Yes, the links don't seem to work, the editor is more broken than a broken thing it seems
Copy and paste into your browsers address bar, and...
just remove the space after https: to make the link work
Good stuff on his channel, great resource IMO...

Yes, he's brilliant and very generous with his time.  His son has an amazing ear!

Thanks for the info about how to make the link work.

I love his videos but I normally only get about 1/3 the way through, then my head explodes and I end up scraping bits of skull, brain and flesh off the laptop and surroundings for about an hour. I think I finished a video of his once, but it might have been when I fell asleep. Having said that, I have a lot of respect for the guy (and others), he is spot on and knows his advanced music theory brilliantly well, and is great at telling/guiding us in what we should be doing, not actually what we are doing. For example he did a video on how to practice and it was quite detailed with at least 6 areas....and I was thinking....oh yeah I don't do that, I don't like it, you're right I should spend more time on xyz etc....

I love Rick's videos. I wish I'd had a teacher like him at school. He makes everything clear and demystifies theory because he shows how to apply it musically.

This is one of my favourites, on quartal harmony
