Bride of Boogie was 60 earlier this year and I promised her a special trip. We spent a couple of days in Vancouver and then took a cruise up to Alaska, visiting Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. Thought you might like to see some of my photos from the trip.
Thanks to everyone who gave me tips about Vancouver a while back btw, all very useful. We really enjoyed the visit, Stanley Park and Granville Island were both great. Gastown has really gone downhill though; due to a policy decision by the mayor to withdraw support for homeless people and drug addicts, the area between Gastown and Chinatown is quite scary now, with hundreds of people sleeping rough. We also saw people openly shooting up in the streets. They really need to change this policy and offer some help to these guys.

I need to do Alaska one day.
The railway shots are from the White Pass line that runs out of Skagway up 3000 feet into the mountains. It's a narrow gauge line built to bring gold out of the mines in the Yukon. Both bloody amazing trips.
