Apparently, "S-E" indicates (temperature) Sensor Error.
Even assuming that the defective part(s) can be serviced or replaced, you will definitely need a second soldering iron or station in order to work on the first one.
I found the problem. One of the heating element wires had come undone from a bad looking solder joint on the circuit board.
Ive fixed it for now somehow...but will need as you say a second soldering iron to fix it more permanently.
