I friend of mine was putting a video together and wanted a slide blues as part of the track. He also wanted it to sound like a "shitty shellac 78 from the 1930s". I pulled out my very dusty Michael Messer resonator and banged out a version of Muddy Waters "Walking Blues". However, as a middle-aged, middle-class white bloke from Cheshire there's no way I could take myself seriously doing the same song about how miserable I am. I present to you the "Happy Walking Blues".
I stuck a retro filter on it for him but have also included the original clean version for your amusement. I'm not really an acoustic player or a singer but he was quite happy with how it turned out.

Shirley, being middle aged, middle class, white and living in Cheshire qualifies you to sing the blues? After all, what do you have left to live for?
