Hey pedal gurus
I currently have a King of Tone that I use for a slight bit of grit on one side and medium overdrive on t'other.
I now want to add a pedal that would move on to the next gain stage, nothing too metal or too fuzzy, maybe some kind of distortion pedal for an occasional solo. I play single coils and gold foils only, no humbuckers, and the guitars go through a Morgan RCA35.
I've been looking at some Walrus Audio stuff, the new Boss JHS JB2, Dr Scientists The Elements.....
Budget up to £140 and I don't mind used stuff.
Any thoughts?

I've spotted a used one.
In your opinion is it versatile, i.e. will it still do overdrive in addition to distortion?
The Fat Sandwich is a very aggressive, dynamic sound.
The Rat and Distortion+ are far smoother and compressed.

I have settled on a used Dr Scientist The Elements....great reviews, great flexibility and just a little over budget.
Here's hoping I love it.
