Welcome to the third "theFB Mixing Challenge".
This time we have a tune very kindly supplied by
@flying_pie ; for you to play with.
This is about getting a good mix from what is available, so no "re-recording parts". The said I think there has been mention that you can redo the bass track if you so wish...
The original mix can be heard here:

If you want to join the fun, send me a DM and I will provide you with a link to the raw tracks.
Send your submissions to mix@thefretboard.co.uk as an mp3.
Voting will start soon after the submission deadline of 23rd September 2018, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.
First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point
Voting will end on 11.30pm 30th September 2018
The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends. If there are 8 or more entries, then the order and scores of those in the top half will be announced.
No prizes. It's just for fun.
As people submit their entries, I'll post them in the playlist below. Hopefully we can share tips and tricks on how the mix was achieved.

I recorded 4 guitars - 2 heavier "US" and 2 cleaner "British" tones - then I used EQ. a mid boost, a treble boost and more EQ to make them heavier. The tracks in the folder are just the basic amp and cab recordings without any other effects so might sound a bit tame without work.
I also recorded a dry guitar from one of the tracks which I used a trebly/harsh amp sim and centred it very low in the mix for colour. I've uploaded the basic amp and cab sim I used without any further EQ etc. By itself it sounds awful. Feel free to leave it out if you don't need it.
Bass is done by midi and often doubled by a synth bass. Feel free to use a real bass instead. I just kept the synthetic bass as I felt it went well enough with the industrial vibe.
And good luck with the vocal. Singing in German with a Scottish accent = lots of opportunities for de-essing
