IRs

Looking to dip my toe into IRs with helix but dont want to spend a fortune. I know loads of helix owners say not to bother but I'd like to make up my own mind.

Can anyone recommend good IR for Fender Deluxe, Vox AC30, and dumble style amps? Paid for or free. ..I'll check em out.

Cheers

Using these in Native and will be on the floor when I get it:

The core pack has Fender and Vox, I’ll admit I don’t use those I use Mesa, EVH and Marshall, but the range of speaker and mic options make them superb ... in my mind.

Theres a free Mesa one of you want to try first and see if they make a difference for you

Cheers. Saw the core pack but it's 100s of files isn't it? I guess variations of mics and placements etc? Did you gravitate to particular variants quickly or will I be tweaking forever?

There’s not much tweaking to do, certainly in helix ... hi/lo cut and mix is about it.

But yeah there are 100s but it’s well laid out, I auditioned a few to get the ballpark feel and then selected a few mics to see ... helps I kind of knew what I wanted. Sounds like you do too though.

Ownhammer IRs are good value for money. They provide a range of mic types and mic placements for any speaker/Cab. If you stick to an IR which is central in any range then can easily compare speaker/cab types. Unless you’re recording then you won’t want to go any deeper into tweaking.
