Up for grabs is this fantastic late 1965 Gibson SG standard with player friendly upgrades. The guitar has a lightweight one piece honduran mahogany body and neck, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. No breaks or repairs. The pots, pickup rings and bridge are original. 3 of the knobs are original, 1 is a repro. The original vibrola has been removed and a stop tailpiece fitted. The pickups are Bareknuckle PG Blues with Nickel covers. The guitar has had a pro refinish and looks excellent. The finish is starting to age and some lacquer checking is present. There is still plenty of life in the frets. This is a late '65 guitar with the narrow nut and plays wonderfully. It has that magic '60s SG tone that makes you want to play AC/DC for hours on end!! Comes with a more recent Gibson hard case. £1600
