SOLD: MIJ Epiphone Les Paul Custom w/ Ebony Fretboard & Open Book Headstock / Long Neck Tenon
What's Hot
This is an Epiphone LPC90 - ebony fretboard, made in Japan, a cut above
your usual Epi, this was the edition made for the Japanese domestic
market with the proper headstock and it's as heavy as ****. They were
sold inbetween when the "Epiphone By Gibson" line was discontinued and
the Epiphone Elitist came out. The action is lower than something very low indeed.
It's lovely. Heavy, all the right woody
bits and the ebony fretboard is black. Nigel Tufnel would say none
more black, perhaps. One chip on the headstock there, seen in the last picture.
The previous owner replaced the electrics with CTS pots and all that sort of gubbins (
@Zenzeypher ).
Looking for around £600 - or trades to a similar value. Nothing heavy metal or pointy - I'm too old for that sort of thing.
The arrival of another guitar necessitates moving this on... having said that, trades-wise I have an unfortunate SG addiction, would love a decent P Bass, or, just suggest away... you never know what may catch my eye.
Cheers!

I know.
The only change I'd make, are the pickups. It'd look awesome with some aged zebras.
Oh man, I'll regret losing this one... but the gas is strong and my will is weak.
Inside it's all braided cable, orange drops and full proper pots. It's an easy guitar to play with no choke out or any issues at all.
It's not the closest you can get to a custom - it is a custom and a very rare one.
If I was reading this thread I think I'd be gassing for this guitar... Am I mad to get rid, I wonder...! :-S
Pickups are the stock ones - I believe they are Gotoh...
Don't know the weight, but I'll try and weigh it tomorrow - but it is what I would call - as a technical term "a hefty lump".
Mines staying with me though
A bargain indeed. The dishing on the carved top is the nicest I've seen on a custom.
Go on @ChrisMusic you know you want it
Lots of interest, but don't forget, I'd be happy also with Trade + Cash if something catches my eye and I don't change my mind...
