I’m not even sure if they would actually work on already mixed & mastered albums, but am intrigued. 

Well they correct for the headphone not the source so no reason it shouldnt work. Ive tried Sonorworks and that has either a mode you use as a plugin or a global mode that affects everything in windows. TBH I didnt really like it thought, prob because im so used tot he sound of my headphones.

I’m not a Waves fan any more (with their “upgrade or your plug-in will no longer be supported” system) but will keep an eye out for some alternatives.  Would be great to just trial a few demos & see what it sounds like.  Great to know that it is possible.

Thanks for the heads up - it looks like you get two ilok activations per purchase? Is that correct?

I have this, comes free with the SSL2 interface. Really good for quick effects on a vocal track. Easy to get big effected sounds. 

Especially the de-esser 

Great if you don’t have any other plug-ins, for final mix I go to the dedicated units and switch most of this off.

Not a deal as such but it seems you can now get your UA plugins as standalone (UAD call it UADx). It's not all of them but it's nice to be able to mess about without plugging in the Apollo. For some reason it gave me a Moog synth which I didn't know I had

I got the SLO 100 and Archetype: Cory Wong during the previous sale.

The Cory Wong is remarkably versatile and I use it most, including for bass. It's my go to ampsim at the moment.
