  • I got Dead Drums for Addictive Drums in pre-Black Friday Sale, likewise Ferrum with Keep Forest. A bit cheaper than BF sale proper as there was extra discount for mailing list users.

Got the Les Paul and P bass for Kontakt half-price in Native Instruments BF sale. I picked up upgrade to Kontakt 8 for discounted price too (upgrading to K7 last year saw me having to upgrade video card for PC as it required a newer Direct X).

Yes I find it really good & fast to get ideas down with it. Sounds great in the mix & is a big step up from the original EZ Keys. Even things like the resizable and scalable interface makes a big difference compared to the original EZ Keys.

    Good thorough review here:

    Syntorial on sale!

I know quite a few people like @TTony have asked about learning how to use synths properly and this is meant to be the gold standard and supports various plugins like Pigments and Diva.

Building blocks is also on sale, but I've no idea if it's actually any good.

  • Decent looking sale on Soundtoys stuff. Not sure if it's the same one mentioned earlier but I got an email today for the entire Soundtoys 5 for $189 if you have any of their stuff (including the free phaser from before) or $199 if you're completely new.

That strikes me a pretty darn good

    Syntorial on sale!

For the amount of content - that looks like a good deal @monquixote - and it works on iPad too (so great for me sitting on a train).  Will download the free bit tonight and check it out.  Thanks

Well "that sucks" @stickyfiddle ;;, getting it cheaper if you've already got some of their stuff

If you watch things like Tapenotes you will see pretty much every producer uses Soundtoys.

My top recommendation for a plugin bundle along with Fabfilter.

Arturia have just launched one of their special deal periods (something called "Black Friday" apparently).

Just grabbed the Pigments synth on a cross-grade special deal (£60) and am currently trying to resist V Collection X at €149 instead of €499.
    I wouldn't resist....it's brilliant, and that's a bargain price.
Darn it you vile temptresses.  I'm now 149 euros lighter!

  • I'm convinced I saw somewhere selling Abeltion Live Suite for $20 or something. Can't find the link again. Could have been dodgy though.

Is it worth getting Pigments if I intend on buying the V Collection X? (provided I'm offered the same $149 deal).

If so, worth buying something else other than Pigments?

I just came here to report on Arturia

I already have V collection 7, they are offering me:
FX 5 for 49€ - which looks amazing as a crossgrade price
    V collection X for 99€

I'm not convinced Pigments 5 offers me stuff I don't have already in Komplete Collectors, etc. Any opinions welcome

I had the same offers for V Collection and FX5. I went for FX5 as it felt like a much bigger upgrade (I only have around 12 of their effects already and the newer effects are highly regarded). I’m still on V Collection 7 and there’s nothing new that’s tempting me.

The $149 (or $99) pricing is cross-grade pricing, so you already have to have Arturia products to get that price.

Log in to your Arturia account to see your offers.

btw, almost all the Arturia apps appear without GUI scaling on my Win 11 PC, I've had to manually assigned DPI scaling to each exe, pretty pathetic to release apps these days in that condition I think.

Yeah, I'm discovering that. It's a real pain.  It's been the same with a lot of NI plugins for years too.  They made some progress, but I can see the older ones being left untouched.
