    Work is in progress of something that I have had in mind for a while
    It has been nicknamed the Surf Strat for a long while
    Here is a peek at the pickup choices courtesy of Ash @OilCityPickups ;
    The Hardman tele bridge pickup and two Hardman spec Jaguar pickups

    We have in the past found that a tele pickup in a Strat makes for a fabulous surf rock sound and teamed up with a pair of very obvious "surf guitar" pickups  makes for an interesting mix.
    Sonically it is fab ......nice and throaty but with nice high end snap to the sounds. It's actually a great guitar for many kinds of indie, pop and rock.

    There is a push/push on the tone control to bring the neck pickup in with the bridge to allow for 7 sound options in total.

    There will be two of these in total, but will take a while to get them all painted up - thinking Olympic white for one of them at least

    Oh it seems to do jazzy tones quite well too as we found out when @Grangousier tried one out.
