The Gregg Wallace Guide to Etiquette and Good Manners

What's Hot

Old baldychops got into the papers again by thumping someone who "showed no respect " by talking to his young lady. Apparently much lemonade had been consumed during the process. A real recommendation for Weight Watchers. Lose weight - get drunk - start fights

Good on him.  There's not enough thumping of cads and bounders these days.
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

Some reports are saying the bloke groped his missus, which would probably result in a bit of violence from a number of people.

They did apparently make up over a whiskey or two, though, so it seems more like the sort of thing that goes on all over the country on a Saturday night than a particularly bad incident.

If the above is true, I am failing to see the following:

    1) Where the problem is.

    2) Why this is considered newsworthy.
    - "I'm going to write a very stiff letter. A VERY stiff letter. On cardboard."

Fair enough, I forgot what kind of crap passes for news in the tabloids :D

I do a full-day shift at work on Sundays, and on my lunch break I usually end up leafing through the Sunday Sun... it's fucking crap, isn't it? It's barely a newspaper at all. Only bit worth reading is usually the repugnant but cheaply amusing page from Frankie Boyle.

Reading between the lines I reckon Gregg is a bit of a cock and the subsequent make up was him trying to keep the guy quiet. A minor celeb who can't quite believe his luck at being able to pull while looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy

It's not a patch on fellow TV cook Delia Smith's drunken-not-that-newsworthy thing a few years back (the drunken football rant)
    Red ones are better.
