Although I'm not at all a fan of relicing usually I think you've done an amazing job on that sunburst Tele. Looks brilliant

Thanks bud. I’m tempted to dull the finished a little although the customer is delighted. He actually moved away from the butterscotch model in the other picture to take the sunburst. I was working from reference pics. That’s going to make a lovely guitar

I can see why you’d want to dull it but certainly in those pics I think the gloss works well and makes the top really pop out.

Yeah that’s true and tbh the customer has signed off on it. It ships next week so I’m going to leave it alone now. Onto the next one!

Im going to see how this model fairs but I may do another one similar to this today or tomorrow. Its a good way of showing what can be done other than the usual (classic and popular) styles.

Takes it into custom shop style guitars imo which could be a great move, making the unobtainable affordable for most of us. I dig it.

Basically that’s the idea. This stuff shouldn’t be out of reach for us imo. Why can’t you spec a quality guitar for under £1200 finished how you want? Why should it only be for people with £2500+ to spend? 

I have a few interesting bodies to post here that are a little different. After that it will be staple styles and colours which will be available for purchasing within the next 5-6 weeks all being well.

Oooh am I getting a hint of a lovely dark purple off that first tele, like a memory of the foil from an 80s Dairy Milk, or is it a mirage? That pink tele is just gorgeous too, kudos to you.
