This burst will also fade beautifully as time goes on.

This particular customer wanted to copy a Strat he had seen on Instagram, while the red is a little bold just now it’ll fade back over the next little while.

A quick mock up of a blonde Tele body and maple neck heading out on Monday. I use my proper camera for these shots, the iPhone is used at the spray shop but I’ve found the latter can drastically alter colours (and in particular the fades and separation on the bursts) which is annoying. All customers are sent proper photos of their projects to “ok” them before being packed up.

It’s easy to be flippant about working on guitar bodies.. it can sometimes look like a never ending conveyor belt of work.

But, it’s fun to think about where these will end up shortly.

One from the archives, a heavily discoloured LPB Strat. No one seems to ask for this colour, but I know I’d sell them if I did more of them.. which I might very well do after seeing this again.

It’s the sheer skill of my iPhone photography, amazing isn’t it  

That is merely a highlight on the edge of the body

Now that you mention it, a recent customer asked me to do a body in the style of Mr Bukovac’s..
