Finally settled on SDD 3000 as the multidelay for me, and the DD3 will have to go on a mini board. Loving the new Lazy J cruiser..

    Red ones are better.

It was my first pedal - and having tried and moved on a ts 808, SL drive, angry Charlie and a prince of tone, it's still here!
It's not as refined as the Cruiser for lower gain overdrive, with less tonal options, but it's fantastic to push my mildly crunchy Marshall into guns n roses kind of territory. Love it

Ok so I'm a relative noob, and I was getting by ok with just the ME 80, but I recently decided to put together a few other options to leave channels open on the Boss, and to improve pedal order etc.

This has been thrown together pretty cheaply and comprises Pitchblack Tuner, Tone city Sweet Cream (Honey clone) and Model E amp sim with separate boost switch, quattro delay which is really good for the size / price and  generic 10 minute looper with some effects. It's the Thomman version but identical to many others. Only thing missing is a gate, if I can fit one on but I think it's needed. I've got some lower profile patch leads and L shaped power daisy chain on the way so that will make things a bit neater, and I will then get rid of the messy cable monstrosity!

So... any advice on a relatively cheap / small gate?

Any observations / tips for tweeks? I'm not gigging, I'm a noob, but I do play with mates and intend to start doing some open mic type stuff in another six months or so.
It's currently all going in to a Fender Mustang ii v2, which is ok for playing with mates but long term I'm looking at something more pokey and valve based.

This is my board, eventually I'll replace the midi moose with a es5 or 8 but for now it'll do. I've modded the midi moose to include 3 way aux switch at the top that controls the H9 so I can access all the presets and control tap tempo, bypass and whatever I set the third switch to do.

No such thing as too much reverb.

Are you using the Moose for the H9 and the DD500, or just the H9?

Just the H9 at the minute, I only got the DD500  last week so I've not had much time to mess about with it yet, but the plan is to use it too.

My two boards. The smaller one started as an orphan board (that BCB-6 served me for many a gig) until I got the Timmy and XTS modded GE-7. They do a lot for the sound:

so i've been quietly working away on a new (secondary board) simple board for a project...straight up doom metal. Finished it a week ago...loving all the tones i get from it.

    Signal chain is:
Guitar -> Kill Switch -> The Wizard -> Apollo Phaser -> Maxon Delay -> Ghost Echo -> Tuner

@jamiexsilver I have a Midi Moose which I use with a Zoom G3 as a backup rig in case my ES-8 pedal board or my amp go down at a gig. The Midi Moose only sends on one channel if I recall correctly. At default it uses channel 1 but you can change it  by pressing the UP and DOWN button simultaneously. You might find a clash  if you set both the H9 and the DD500 on the same channel. You might be  able to do some kind of addition midi command from one of the devices if you select a particular patch, e.g. if patch 10 on the H9 is selected it sends of a PC change on a different channel to the DD500.

Anyway, I  think you might need to upgrade to an ES-5 or ES-8 fairly soon to take advantage of the two midi devices. On my board I have a Mobius and a Source Audio Nemesis, on different midi channels. I'd be amazed if I could get them both to work on the same channel.
