Certainly covers the MIDI side. To achieve loop switching of other pedals means a MIDI-controlled loop switcher too, at which point you're looking at £400, give or take, or else swapping out other pedals I currently have for ones that can be MIDI controlled, which isn't cheap either.

That and my unreasonable attachment to being able to swap the order of my pedals...

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

    Finally pedalboard complete!

Nice and tidy, good clean power and the quartermaster qmx 6 is awesome!!!

big shout out to Bright Onions for the Strymon Multi Switch makes life so much easier switching presets and banks. More practical shape than the strymon one!

Went a bit OCD with the labelling of things on the Cioks but worth I think if anything went down

Finished yesterday, hoping it will live up to it's lofty ambition.

It is indeed, many hours buying, measuring and researching to get the most versatile small board. I think I have done it. Sounds superb.

A bit of board movement - Simble Predriver (what a great pedal!), Skreddy Swirl (again!) and Tuner in - in all reducing my knob count by 8 knobs - which is great as found myself tweeking rather than playing a lot recently.

    Good taste in distortion, sir.

How do you run your Soothsayer?

Non-stacked, usually in the Rat mode (far right on the toggle, can’t remember the internals other than in high gain mode) and pretty much full gain as I use it to get all fuzzy for those OTT moments.its a cracking pedal.

    Right...big board is reborn.

This build is brought to you via two Argos duck boards for 15 quid.  I'd also like to thank Guinness West Indies Porter, Barefoot merlot and the the words piss, shit and fuck for getting me through the process.

It never ceases to amaze me that, no matter how many times I've planned a board, measured it and thought "Yeah man, piece of piss, It'll all fit on...no prob", it always only JUST fits - and I mean to the millimeter, AND there's always a compromise.

    Anyone else find that?

I also have space for one more pedal behind the Space Echo, but no way to easily tread on the fecker and no more space out front to squeeze my other little mini loop in either (same as the slim black chap sat between PS-6 and Muff).

Gah.  All sounds great though - found three dodgy patch cables during the process as well.

  • I think the addition of the Hudson Broadcast means it's time for an update.  It certainly adds a new flavour to the drive options and it'll take a little while to bed in.  It sounded bloody great on our cover of The Raconteurs 'Level' though.
