You can certainly dial to suit your own setup, yeah
As you know I love the Accountant, but the Cali has always caught my eye. I like the variety of control and the blend option, which the Fairfield doesn’t really give you: you have to really play around with the level on your amp and the pedal to get it right.
    Gav, board looks mint mate...

With regards to the Accountant vs Cali, the latter is obviously more versatile. But the Accountant has some magic in there, imho.

It is less sterile than the Cali, and the little bit of grit it adds is wonderful. Truly special.

Ive actually got Gavs old one (by the way, both Ive owned were dead silent) and have suddenly started playing all sorts of retro synthy weird stuff...

This is my board, home player only.  Board was part of a pine chest of drawers I butchered.

Am considering shuffling them up to allow for a mini tremolo as only effect I ever use on my THR which I don't have on my board

I always loved making diy boards out of whatever I could find in the house :) always felt more proud of them than the boring pedal train I have now.

Surf green "wash" applied by missus munckee!

Only downside is quite heavy but feels rock solid.

You’re all mental.  Nobody needs the amount of pedals most of you have on your boards!   =)
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

Have you given us a flash of your board Emp? (apologies if I've missed It - this is a massive thread) But if you haven't I'd say go on.... do it.... I imagine your board will be the garter at the top of a particularly lovely pair of tights....

Another day, another awful photo of my set up ;)

I might need to move a few things around but everything's working with just a small amount of hum if you stick your head near the speaker. The messed-with Behringer Multi-FX is "interesting". I'm not completely sure (i.e. no idea) what's going on or how to get the most out of it yet, but I've already found a couple of settings which are worth all the hassle I went through to get it. It's also encouraged me to move the (FS) Procession to the floor where I can use its hold switch.

That's going to have to do until funds allow for more purchases, though it would be fun to buy another music stand to see if I could make room for it :)

Coupla new fuzz boxes on the board. Picked up the Maxon used Pretty cheap. In mint condition and probably the best octave fuzz ive yet used. The BaaBzz is just a psychotic animal of a fuzz. Monstrous amounts of gain, even by my standards. Surprisingly it sounds best with my Tele!

    Changed mine again. *sigh*.

Although this is the happiest I've been with it in ages. Nothing is superfluous and everything sounds great. So many fun combinations!

A few changes over the last few weeks but settled on these.  I would like to squeeze another od/fuzz in there if I can make it fit though, .....

    Helix remains the main squeeze.
Small board for playing at home / Back up/ when i only fancy taking little head and board to studio.

Wah gives a bit of wobble everyone and then in place of a phase or flanger.

Back with my old reliable dd20. But missing a nice warbly tape sound, so tempted to get an el capistan...

  • @sgosden Nice theme! Does the Modulate setting on the DD20 not meet your warble requirements?

I used to have a present on the dd20 that was high mod and quick delay time, which gave an alright chorus sound. But I like to swap out my wobbles. The switchless bypass, and good bass retension of the bass wah is suiting my fancy at the moment for a bit of variation on a bar of a solo or a bridge.

Here's the latest version of my main board. This time I've upped real estate to the Terra 42.

For the first time ever, I'm running 3 seperate power supplies...cabling was suspiciously easy!
