Gak are doing them for £89 new which is a good £50 cheaper than some other shops. I believe its the V1 with a Master Tone, Master Volume and A Gain and B Gain.

Whats the thought on the, any owners out there? and even better is somebody selling one cheaper 2nd hand?

  • Never tried one, but the PGS demo sounds good.

I'm always a bit concerned with distortion pedal demos - they always push a valve amp a bit into drive, where I have a solid state... Not sure how it would work.

Yea thats the one I listened to, I though it sounded nice.

Yea its a lot harder to find drive pedals for a SS amps. I have a MJW plexi style amp so would like something to give extra crunch and also a lead gain tone

  • It sounds good for you then.

To be honest, for that money, worth a punt, they're a good quality, well regarded company. If you sell it on, I doubt you'd lose that much :)

I got the email and was thinking the exact same thing.
I'd been looking for an old T Rex Moller but now think a Dr Swamp might be worth a punt at that silly price.

  • Hey, I've got the TC Electronic vintage dual distortion, which is identical to the v1 Dr Swamp (it even says dr swamp on the PCB).
It sounds great, I think it is in some way related to a rat pedal but a little more sophisticated!

The new version looks even better, the lack of separate volume controls was an oversight on the first version.

Hi Mike, hope you're enjoying the amp! I used to have one and used it with that amp and they went together really well. I liked the core tone of the pedal, crunchy but on the fuzzier side of distortion, but certainly not fuzz, just not tight and modern. i'd have another one, but definitely the V2 as the limiting factor on V1 is the single volume.

Yes loving it mate, just trying to find a nice drive pedal to go with it. I think there trying to shift the V1 cheaper as V2 has improvements.

I fancy the Wampler Dual Fusion but there expensive

We'll sound wise the V1's are great and would go well with the amp, if you don't need 2 completely separate channels like the v2
