two amps, into a cab

you don't need a mixer

you assign the bypass of the amps to the same modifier

bypass=mute

when the IA switch is OFF, amp1 is active / amp2 is muted

when the IA switch is ON, amp1 is muted / amp2 is active

this method is seamless 

With this method the switching is instantaneous. You can come in and out of solo mode between beats. If you use a second IA to vary the amp settings, for example turning boost on and off, then you can have four amp sounds in one patch

I do all this with one IA [that sends two MIDI: CC commands]

I actually use scenes to handle the bypassing of the amps

this saves on modifiers that I can do other cooler stuff with

I find scenes easier to switch effects on and off. not sure how I would manage this without them..

yes... the VH4 and Herbert have got the shot in the arm they needed... last night I was goofing with the VH4ch3.. with the Diezels I like to keep the drive low and hit the boost, brit and sat switches.. can't describe why [and I know it's not a 'real' config].. but I just like it..

the Herbert ch2+ is really nice too

the 5153Red is a little different in a good way, which is unthinkable.. cos I love that amp..

the DualRec [recto mdrn 1] is just fkn smokin'

the new U-Res cabs are really nice too.. especially the TV [which I've always loved at nromal and hi-res].. this is a re-shoot and re-mix of that cab..

So Sat switches are working fine now? Coz before they were sounding really wank in the beta - part of the reason I rolled back.

they're mended now..

when the Sat switches went all shite in 15b, a pile of guys complained [me included].. I suggested that if the Sat switches are there, either have them do nothing [to be true to the amp modelling], or do something cool [and there's nothing wrong with that right, even if it's in addition to the original amp].. but don't have it do something that sounds broke... a pile of us were all violently agreeing with this

seem like he listened and mended it.. Sat does cool a thing now in the Diezels [as it did before 15b]

this weekend 'll be re-dialling in my reamping presets for the DC album.. I like this FW so much thatI'm going to re-reamp the parts I've recorded so far.. shouldn't take too long and it'll be well worth it
