Dire sounding amp, poor playing - really shows the guitar off to its best advantage...

This would NOT persuade me to part with £20K+

    o
It wouldn't convince me to part with £200.

am I a divvy for not getting what's wrong? the guitar looks nice (i wouldn't pay that much for one coz i can play well enough on cheaper stuff really), the amp sounds a bit crappy in a cheap 60s practice amp sort of way but it isn't "bad". He seems to get a pretty good Faces sound from it, even if his playing's a bit uninspired  s

Funnily enough, I happened across this today and thought the same thing, especially at 3:55 onwards....

I love how he taps his feet to emphasise his playing rather than keeping time.
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

@HarrySeven - got bored after 30 secs was up - want something slick and classy then a strumming pattern that was more 'tie a yellow ribbon' wishy washy

@miserneil - yes 3.55 and it instantly makes you want to stop listening and look for another guitar

Both make Pat and Doug videos far better

Don't forget the *couldn't care less* microphone choice and positioning.

Nothing wrong, per se, with setting a microphone at forty five degrees to the sound source AND well off-axis relative to the loudspeaker but not as your primary mic.

I suppose that the mic on the stand could actually be the secondary mic. That means that the primary mic must be the one built-in on the video camera. D'oh!

    Absolutely shocking video. Appalling.
A prospective Conversion owner (thinking of paying the $30k asking price) is going to want to hear the guitar played through a clean amp of very high quality......in all 3 positions.

Presumably that test has been passed......
    The guitar is sold.

To me, (unless @jumping@shadows is involved) it’s just a ruined 52. That finish didn’t look great to me at all. Can’t understand why it’s worth more than a good condition trap 52.

More people wish to own 58/59/60 LPs than there are original examples to go around. What - to some - is the next best thing? These cut and shut jobbies. Supply and demand, I guess.
